Lungile Mtiya & Associates is based in Sandton with branches in a number of major cities throughout South Africa, and aims to provide a one-stop Human Resources and Labour Relations services to its clients.

At Lungile Mtiya & Associates we are accredited with the Federation of African Professional Staffing Organization (APSO) and and is a Level 1 B-BBEE contributor to the Codes of Good Practice.

Lungile Mtiya and Associates as a South African business understands the concept and the importance of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment, hence the use of associates in most of the big businesses that we conduct. The South African economy is mostly supported by the Small Enterprises and these share in building the economy of the country. Lungile Mtiya and Associates shared within the business its projects with companies that are small with experience within both the corporate and government business operating within the Human Capital environment. These companies have a wide range of experience e.g., Human Capital Consulting, Employee Relations, Union representatives, Labour Lawyers, Legal, Recruitment, Training and Development, Organisational Development amongst others.

THE LEADERSHIP
Lungile Mtiya
Managing Director

Lungile is a dynamic leader with various qualifications to her name.  She holds post-graduate degrees in Employment Relations/Labour Law & Human Resources Management.  She also has completed a Master’s Degree in Labour Law & Employment Relations at the University of Johannesburg.  Her dissertation was “The Effect of Discipline in an Employment Relationship”.  Her experience and academic background have well prepared her to excel in a diverse, challenging environment with lots of accountability. Lungile has formed strategic partnerships with other organisations and has a pool of associates with a specific intention of offering and exposing clients to the best in employee relations and the human resources field.  Lungile is a member of SASLAW (Membership No: 1474) and SABPP (Membership No: 66609054), she has also attended an accredited Workplace Mediator Skills Training by Conflict Dynamics.

Lungile is currently serving as a non-Executive director at Sodexo Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd and an external chairperson of the employees’ trust fund since March 2018. Lungile in an appointed Non-Executive Director at Gautrain Management Agency since January 2021. She is the Chairperson of the Human Capital and Remunerations committee and sits on the Social Ethics committee of the Gautrain Management Agency (GMA). Furthermore, in June 2021, Lungile was appointed as a Deputy Chairperson of the GMA. She has recently been appointed as the Deputy Chairperson of the South African National Energy Development Institute (SANEDI) Board effective January 2022. She is also appointed as the Chairperson of the Human Capital & Remuneration and Social Ethics Committee effective January 2022.
