In the month of July, South Africa celebrates the late former president Nelson Mandela’s birthday. The 18th of July has been declared International Nelson Mandela Day but as South Africans, we embrace the chance to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s life for the whole of July.
As millions of South Africans returned to work at the beginning of July and as we reached mid-winter season, the Covid-19 cases drastically increased. New infections and death toll continue to rise. Our country remains under pressure due to lack of adequate health facilities and economic lockdown.
During this difficult time, Lungile Mtiya & Associates continues to spread health awareness and urges all individuals to stay at home and stay safe, minimise movement, wear a mask at all times, wash or sanitise hands regularly and consult a doctor or health practitioner if you develop any of the Covid-19 symptoms.
Lungile & Associates is a woman led company that strives for excellence and to better the lives of all citizens. “During this difficult time, we edge all employees and employers to consult with us and get professional advice and information on how to handle challenges and navigate through this crisis” says Lungile Mtiya, MD of Lungile Mtiya & Associates.
We encourage the workforce, especially the youth to visit any of our branches and consult to get deeper knowledge and understanding about their rights and how to protect themselves during a difficult time like this. We also encourage employers and managers to make use of our services, seek advice so that they are compliant and do not find themselves on the wrong side of the law.
Gender based violence remains a big problem in our societies. We encourage both men and women to conduct themselves ethically at home and at work.
